I just wanted to drop you a line and express our gratitude for the efforts that your consultant, Tom, made this week. We held a monthly project meeting on Thursday, 2/03/11, that Tom was thankfully able to attend. I am sure Tom would agree when I say getting him to Kansas City was a major undertaking. As you probably know, the Midwest experience a blizzard on Tuesday, and suffered severe consequences from that storm on Wednesday. Tom was really put through the ringer traveling here, and I we really appreciate his diligence in making our meeting.

I would like to express to you my sincere gratitude and appreciation to your consultant, Tom, for helping me with a situation that came up on Friday afternoon 1/07/11. It was concerning the set up of my new health plans and adding the company deductions to the plan. He worked with me through emails and then a phone call even though it was time for him to leave on Friday afternoon. We both worked together and solved the problem and I finished setting up the plans Monday morning. I do not like to cut short the time that I need to set up my plans but due to circumstances beyond my control I had no choice. Tom even called me back yesterday after payroll ran to let me know that everything deducted OK. I wanted to tell you what a great help Tom was to me and how much I appreciated him taking the time to help me late Friday afternoon but I would not expect any less of Tom. Thanks so much Tom for all your help and support.

As project manager of a long term Lawson engagement, I am writing to let you know how pleased we are with youe consultant’s, Tom, work on our project. We have been working with our current client for approximately four years now and we recognize that we were lucky to have Tom join our team when we experienced turnover in one of our positions two years ago. From the first week onsite, Tom was able to make immediate and significant contributions to our implementation. Below are a few examples of how Tom has contributed to our project:
- Balanced complex and very challenging payroll history conversion files, identifying mapping errors and creating a repeatable process for the client to follow.
- Functioned as a testing coordinator during Parallel Testing and ensured all variances were correctly classified and resolved.
- Researched and resolved production time accrual calculation errors, creating a spreadsheet of adjustments, identifying required modifications in system configuration and training new client resources.
- Led the design, testing and implementation of a custom FLSA calculation program to meet client-specific requirements.
Tom’s background in Human Resources and Payroll is obvious and his Lawson system expertise is considerable. He has been a valuable addition to our project team and I would be pleased to have him on future Lawson projects.

The Winter Haven Hospital Lawson 9 upgrade completed on time and I think under budget. The upgrade process went smoothly. The only issues experienced since the upgrade have been normal startup and tuning. Your staff did another excellent job with review, planning, supervision and testing. I suggested that Pat ask you to reserve the group now for the next WHH Lawson upgrade in 2012.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to compliment your staff of consultants on a job well done. We have been very pleased with their performance on our LSF9 upgrade. They were very pleasant to work with and did a very thorough job. They made the upgrade a very smooth, painless transition for us. We are now live on LSF9, with no major issues to report. We are happy that we chose to go with GlobalStar Consulting.

Your consultant has performed exceptionally during his time on the CHI Connect project. He possesses a high degree of professionalism, talent, skill and experience and brought those formidable skills to bear on a daily basis. It is in large part because of his contributions that the security development team has matured to its current state. His cheerful composure and dedication to excellence will be deeply missed in our community. I wish your consultant the very best of luck in his future endeavors and know that he will always be successful!

It is my pleasure to write a letter of reference for your Senior Lawson Financials Consultant. I am the Assistant Controller for the University of Kansas Hospital. To give you a little background, we went live on GL, MM, AP, and AM Lawson applications in March 2005. We purchased Lawson through SMS (Shared Medical Systems or Siemens). We started out with a consultant who didn’t know information we had learned in our training class and that was a big warning sign to us that she was not the person we needed on our job. We asked for her to be removed from our job. The next two consultants assigned to us were strong, but due to issues with SMS removing themselves from their Lawson ties, they both left the company not long after they began consulting with us. Then your Senior Lawson Financials Consultant was recommended to us. We couldn’t have gotten a better consultant and we do highly recommend him.
When it comes to consultants, it is very important to have the right individuals with the right knowledge guiding you. Your consultant is someone who can see the “big” picture and can communicate to us our options very succinctly by both telling us and showing us. He could tell us the pros and cons of multiple options. He was also very good about having us bring in related departments that would be affected by decisions and making sure we came to consensus on the best way to proceed. In some of the setups, we had been given different opinions and advice from the various consultants we had used previously. We were confused about which path we should take. He was able to help us sort through the options and become comfortable with our decisions.
He also was very diplomatic and a great communicator. When we had suggestions made from the MM consultant that were questionable, he would always say, “Well, let’s take a look at this.” He would then sit down at the computer and demonstrate the options. It really pays to have a consultant who is knowledgeable about the entire system.
Another trait we admired was his honesty. If he was not sure about the answer of a question, he would tell us so. He would then proceed to find the answer to us through research and/or testing it in the system. We feel you can always rely on his word.
Sincerely,
Carrie J. Fangman

This letter is being written in regards to one of your Senior Lawson HR/PR Implementation Manager/Consultants.
He recently worked with us during our HR/payroll conversion and proved to be a wealth of knowledge regarding the Lawson system. We had the opportunity to work with many different consultants over the course of the conversion and were most impressed with his expertise of the system.
He consistently put our organization's best interest first. He was always willing to take extra time to teach us about the Lawson system and was patient and professional with our staff members on all occasions.
It is no doubt that our successful conversion was largely due to his involvement. Our organization would highly recommend him as a consultant and would welcome him back should the need arise in the future.

My staff and I have had the privilege of working with your Senior Lawson HR/PR Implementation Manager/Consultant over the past six months with an implementation of a new Lawson/Kronos human resource/payroll system.
From the moment he arrived on-site he knew we had a job to get done. He was extremely knowledgeable; could answer every question we had; or show us how it needed to be done. He was very "hands on" and we all felt very comfortable in going to him for help when needed.
We completed a very successful "go-live" with our project on December 17th and certainly know that a major portion of our success was due to his guidance and encouragement.
He is truly one of the best consultants with whom I have worked during my 35 years with Mercy.

It is my wish to acknowledge your Senior Lawson HR/PR Implementation Manager/Consultant as an exceptional Global Star Consulting individual who truly epitomizes what a consultant is all about and one you can be proud represents your company.
We have been fortunate to work with him on two occasions (once with ESG and the other with Global Star Consulting) and on both occasions we found him eager to take on the task of resolving some critical design concepts with our Lawson HR suite. He not only presents himself as very knowledgeable, but spends many hours on-site working both weekends and evenings to resolve the issues at hand. In addition, we have spent several hours communicating with him in conference calls at times when he was traveling to other projects and could not actually be in-house with us. He is an individual that our staff feels confident with and comfortable working along side of.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at extension 3142. I would not hesitate in the least to recommend him to anyone.

I wanted to take a moment and recognize the outstanding job that your Senior Lawson HR/PR Implementation Manager/Consultant has done on the Mercy project. His knowledge of the payroll process is outstanding. He has a great rapport with the end users making everyone feel comfortable as they navigate through the "new" system. He has definitely been one of the key players on the implementation team and I consider him my go-to guy for all things Lawson.
In my opinion you have a true "Ace" on your staff.

Your Lawson Project Manager has provided excellent leadership and organizational skills when she arrived on site six (6) weeks before the CHI Connect Wave 2 Go Live at Lincoln Nebraska. The Supply Chain work stream was behind schedule and her ability to understand the gaps and navigate with National and MBO personnel was invaluable to achieve a successful go live. She was a team player and supported all stakeholders with clear and concise communication.
It was a pleasure to work with her on this rollout. I apologize for the late feedback and trust you had a great holiday season.

At this moment we are printing and transmitting our first major payroll to the bank and ACH. Regardless of the days ahead I want you to know what an exceptional person and consultant your Senior Lawson HR/PR Implementation Manager/Consultant is. He is absolutely one of us, loyal, dedicated, sacrificing personal time and its SOOO appreciated by all of us. He has been a great consultant and what he did not know he 'learned' and lead us the in the right direction. Best of all, he cared about us as people and our goals. Please reward him as much as possible and thanks for supporting him and us.
Thanks again.

I'd like to be sure that you are aware of what an important role your Lawson Procurement Implementation Manager/Application Consultant, played in helping our supply chain team move to Lawson production and in his support the weeks following our go-live. His knowledge of Lawson helped both our clients and our team and we are so appreciative of having him available to us. We learned so much from him. Additionally, he always made the learning and problem-solving fun but professional. We will miss having access to him terribly as he has helped us through many a tough spot in these last few weeks.
Thank you for allowing us to have this valuable resource work with us on this project. Should another opportunity come up at Mercy, it would be to our benefit to have him work with us again. If this consultant is an example of your staff, your consulting company will continue to maintain market respect and appreciation!!

Please accept this correspondence as a letter of recommendation for your Senior Lawson HR/PR Implementation Manager/Consultant from GlobalStar Consulting, Inc. He came on board as the Human Resources/Payroll Team lead for our organization's Lawson software implementation project in June 2006 and worked with us for just over one year.
This Implementation Manager/Consultant is an incredibly hardworking and disciplined person whose work is of the highest quality. He excels at research and problem-solving and has a gift for teaching as well. His knowledge of Lawson, and Human Resources and payroll in general, is truly impressive and helped us build the foundation for our project. This consultant is one of the most intelligent and versatile people I have known. I believe his level of technical expertise in particular is rare for a Human Resources/Payroll functional team consultant. He immerses himself in the business and makes sure to fully understand organizational policies and procedures. He always asks very thoughtful questions and considers all possibilities before making recommendations for change. This resource is also very creative. There were instances throughout the project when an issue or situation that he had never encountered before would present itself. In every instance, he either found a way to resolve the issue or more importantly, used it as a learning opportunity for team members to solve the problem on their own. Your consultant's constant coaching helped us to develop our skills and knowledge of the software so we could better serve our employees.
This Senior consultant is highly professional and his integrity is unquestionable. There is no doubt that he always has the best interest of the client in mind. Working with him has been one of the best experiences of my career and our team is very grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from him. Any organization that can secure his services will benefit a great deal.

I would like to record my appreciation for your contributions and outstanding support provided during the period of May 12th through the 14th, 2006.
In particular, your outstanding work and knowledge in analyzing and troubleshooting the failure of our Lawson Software System, as well as your role in the complete recovery and restoration of the system.
In addition you provided this assistance at great personal sacrifice by giving up much of your own time during the Mothers Day weekend which this incident occurred.
I would also like to commend you and the rest of your GlobalStar consultants on your expertise and knowledge of the Lawson Software System. GlobalStar Consulting has been instrumental in successfully supporting the National Institutes of Health, Clinical Centers, and Materials Management Department for several years now.
You are to be congratulated and highly commended for the excellence of your service.

I would like to express my appreciation for the hard work and dedication exhibited by your Senior LAWSON Procurement Implementation Manager/Functional Consultant during our Lawson conversion process here at University Hospital. It was an absolute pleasure working with someone as knowledgeable and committed as him.
As you are aware we had a very short implementation schedule and I do not think we would have been successful if it had not been for your consultant. His knowledge of both M/M functions as well the A/P functions provided the much needed expertise in keeping us within our timelines. I can honestly say that he made what we expected to be a very unpleasant process a very positive and pleasant one.
I would highly recommend your consultants to any customer you may deal with in the future and would request this consultant specifically if the need should arise here at our facility.

I wanted to provide a formal letter of appreciation for all of the hard work and effort that your Senior Consultant provided in our most recent implementation of Lawson.
Having regional implementation responsibilities for our hospital network in Arkansas, I appreciated and was substantially impressed with his ability to quickly grasp the context and scope of our work locally at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. In the few days before our Go-Live date, I was able to observe his teaching style. In short, I found that his style is suitable for any implementation condition; in that, he was patient with people being new to Lawson and easily transitioned them to a stable core of knowledge. He has a great sense of balance - knowing when to support and when to let a person learn.
Further, I valued your consultants professionalism. He is fluent, not only in Lawson, but in supply chain theory as well. This, from my observations, allowed him to communicate effectively with dock workers to the highest levels of management and everyone in between. More personally, I appreciated his optimistic, yet serious, approach to problem solving while remaining candid, sensitive, and humorous. In other words, he took every problem seriously, questioned our team when necessary for context or exposure, was open and honest in systematic and practical options to provide the highest quality of support, and kept an enjoyable atmosphere about him.
As such, our Hot Springs team received some very high accolades from our upper management. Specifically, the head of the Genesis Project noted that ours was "very smooth, second only to [our hospital in] Springfield". Additionally, the CFO in Hot Springs stated that this implementation "was a non-event". Please, let me try to place the proper emphasis on these statements. In every implementation, one tries to minimize or lessen the impact on the end users. We were able to do this at St. Joseph's with his help. There were a lot of long hours and days, a lot of face-to-face, one-on-one training that he provided. In my experience, it is only with this kind of significant, personalized effort can anyone obtain this kind of result and praise. I greatly valued his presence, knowledge, approach, and camaraderie.

When deciding on a consulting firm to help us with our upgrade from Lawson applications 724 to 803 there were several characteristics we took into consideration; knowledge of the product, experience with the upgrade process, good communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. GlobalStar exemplified these characteristics throughout our experience with them from the initial meeting to the final deadline.
GlobalStar began by making an impact at that crucial first impression simply by taking the time to visit us here in KY, face to face. During the initial meeting GlobalStar opened up the floor to any questions. This gave us a chance to find out how well they knew the Lawson products. Your Lawson Project Manager/HR Functional Consultant was able to answer all of our Human Resources related questions and even gave us some tips that helped us get ready for the upgrade. Your Lawson Procurement Implementation Manager also answered all of our questions as well as gave suggestions on how to improve our current processes.
GlobalStar furnished us with a reference list of present and prior clients to contact. The list they gave us was impressive; most of the clients upgraded form Lawson 7.x to 8.x and were in the Healthcare field. This gave us the assurance that they had extensive experience in the upgrade process and knowledge of the healthcare environment.
After choosing GlobalStar to assist us with the upgrade we discovered how well they were able to communicate with a vast array of employees within the organization. From the system administrator to the end user (with very little technical knowledge) they were able to interact with everyone effectively. Because of these crucial communication skills we also contracted for GlobalStar to conduct end user training for both Procurement and Accounts Payable within our organization. This training prepared us for the upgrade and also taught us new processes for the future.
GlobalStar's drive to complete the project has been unparalleled when compared to other consulting firms. Our projected go-live date was 4/30/04 and we ended up going live two weeks earlier 4/19. I know it would have taken us a considerably longer time to complete this project with out the help of the GlobalStar team. Your DataBase/System Administrator, Financial Consultant, Human Resources Consultant, Procurement Consultant, and Project Manager exemplify outstanding service, knowledge, and experience and I would recommend GlobalStar without hesitation to anyone based on the personal contact I have had with each of these individuals.

I have worked very closely with GLOBALSTAR Consultants for the past two years to create and set up customized programs for Compensation and Benefits in the LAWSON system. GLOBALSTAR consultants are outstanding in their LAWSON knowledge as well as in the ability to create and write programming that meets our needs. They are extremely easy to work with, have excellent communication skills (including listening to our concerns and needs then communicating them back to us in an understandable way), and work quickly to prioritize and accommodate us. It has been my privilege to work with them.

I don’t usually go out of my way to write letters or even make calls to vendors. But I really wanted to take this opportunity to rave about GlobalStar’s Lawson Software Consultants and the timely and beneficial accomplishments that they made on our behalf.
When we came to GlobalStar we had a very pressing time crunch related to the implementation of EDI within our Lawson system. We had already assigned this project to a different vendor but were quickly concerned about their ability to complete the job – they did not seem to share our sense of urgency and often left numerous of our phone calls, emails unanswered.
When GlobalStar was engaged, progress was immediately felt. Very capable, experienced Consultants were quickly assigned. Even though your Procurement Consultant was met with many challenges (including our EDI vendor’s slow response to set up the required tests) successful inbound and outbound EDI transmissions were made within the first week! We were even more impressed by the dedication and resolve to achieving this success because it was over the Thanksgiving holiday week!
On week two, your Procurement Consultant returned to assist us with our go-live in Purchasing. Even though he had only a week’s worth of CHS-specific knowledge under his belt, there was measured success and all hospitals were soon transmitting. Some issues did arise, but as it turned out the errors were related to our earlier setup of items and vendor set up. Your Consultant was able to quickly identify the causes and expertly guide us through correction of any/all until our PO’s to our prime vendor were flowing smoothly.
Throughout these two weeks, GlobalStar Consultants displayed a can-do attitude along with the patience and understanding that our staff needed during the emotion-filled, final go-live process. Their thorough knowledge of Lawson and veteran background in implementations really made the difference. We feel that we made the right choice in switching to GlobalStar.
Thanks for responding to our needs so quickly and for supplying such knowledgeable and success-minded Lawson Software Consultants.

I am the Team Leader for Accounts Payable and Payroll at Danville Regional
Medical Center in Danville, VA. I am writing to thank you for the wonderful
Team of Consultants we had for installing the Lawson Financial System.
I would like to say what a pleasure it has been working with your Project Manager. She kept everything running smoothly, meetings on time and had to keep all of us in line. She even sometimes had to intervene to keep peace between associates, but she was there for all of us. She does her job well. She is very professional and gets the job done.
I would like to have worked with your Financials Consultant more, but I worked more on Payroll than Accounts Payable. The Financials Consultant worked very hard and had all the patience in the world with myself and all the Accounts Payable users. I am sure we were a challenge to him, but he did not give up or get the least bit upset with us. He was wonderful to work with.
I don't know if I can find enough words to describe your Human Resource/Payroll Consultant. As soon as we had our first meeting with him we were sure we had the best. In no time he knew our business process as well as we know it. He did a wonderful job on setting up the HR/Payroll Suite. He wrote our manuals and did our training on site. He did an excellent job training. He is so knowledgeable, a wonderful troubleshooter, but, also, patient, kind and easy to work with. It has been an honor to work with this veteran Lawson HR/Payroll Consultant.
We have been truly blessed to have had such a great team of consultants to work with us.

During our selection process for the 8.x upgrade, our team was immediately impressed by two unique things about GlobalStar’s approach to Lawson software consulting.
First was the experience and depth of knowledge of their consultants. At the San Antonio CUE we casually met Bill Fry, a GlobalStar Functional Consultant. Bill confidently offered for us to ‘ask him about any problem we may be having with Lawson’ because he was sure that he would know how to help us. Well, we asked and he correctly told us where and what to look for.
The second thing that impressed us about GlobalStar was their list of client references. Many companies will give you only 2-3 references, but GlobalStar gave us a list of 12 to 15. We randomly called 3 or 5 of these references and received a glowing, enthusiastic recommendation from each of them.
Since partnering with GlobalStar on our upgrade, we continue to be impressed with their leadership and knowledge in both healthcare and Lawson. And with the major revisions in version 8.x Procurement and AP, GlobalStar’s strength and years of hands-on experience have really made the difference. We are working together toward mutual success and expect to meet all of our deadlines.
Expect to see Hershey on GlobalStar’s long list of successful and satisfied clients.

Thank you so much for your two weeks of exploration. I sincerely appreciate the way and manner (professionalism) in which you have been able to meet with 30 plus people, in our process review for the HRIS. I feel that your way of "doing your job" is excellent thus far.
Everyone you have met with has given me positive feedback via their buy-in and interest in system exploration, as it could benefit them. Even more important is your ability to help with an overview, as to how we can maximize our new HRIS.
I would very much like some assurance that you will be able to return on a PRN basis, post report. At this point, I feel that there is no substitute for GlobalStar.

I am pleased to write this letter extolling the knowledge, skill and talents of your Lawson HR consultant. Your consultant came to the Medical Center to teach various cluster groups how to use the Lawson system. Teaching our educational unit staff about Lawson, in general, and how to use the training and education piece (Training Administration), specifically was one of the last initiatives assigned.
Your consultant spent many hours with my staff and I, very patiently teaching and supporting us through all the rigors of our adaptation to the system. Your consultant offered numerous creative suggestions, encouraged each of us when the going got rough, and nurtured us each step of the way. We finally "got it", thanks to your consultant's perseverance and help.
Once again, thank you for sending such a capable and charming instructor to us. We are indebted to your consultant, but more than that, feel like she is family. We will not soon forget her.

October 2003…This past summer, GlobalStar was brought on to consult and guide us during the initial rollout of Employee Self-Service with the first major task being Open Enrollment for the 2004 benefit season. The notion of a 'web-based' application with online open enrollment is a revolutionary one. Our daunting challenge was in accepting and embracing such a change as this Human Resource function throughout our organization.
I'm pleased to announce that we had great success. During our October 1st through 24th enrollment period, our participation was 96% and to date all of our employees have logged into MyHR, our branding for Lawson's Employee Self Service.
GlobalStar's consultant(s) was, and continues to be, a vital part of our team and played a key role in the success of this project. GlobalStar is admired and respected for their knowledge and 'can-do' attitude and will be first choice in seeking Lawson consulting in the future….
