Lawson - Business Software, Inc (BSI) Upgrade

Are you aware that if you (the client) are on BSI Tax Factory 8.0.x that the decommission date is 8/31/2011? Are you also aware that if you are on Lawson environment 9.0.0.X, you will need to upgrade to 9.0.0.8 at a minimum. If you are on Lawson environment 9.0.1.X, you will need to upgrade to 9.0.1.5 at a minimum.

GS has experienced consultants who can help upgrade the Lawson environment required for the new release. Timing is critical for all clients needing to perform this upgrade. Ideally the client has two servers so that the environment upgrade can be fully tested to ensure all Lawson apps work correctly prior to upgrading the production environment.

It is estimated it will take 2 - 4 weeks to implement the tasks required prior to this 8/31/2011 deadline. The stated estimated time to complete this initiative can vary depending on the availability of internal resources and a separate test server (to test the environment upgrade). Availability of internal resources is key in performing a thorough test of the application post environment upgrade.

As the summer months approach internal and external available resources can get scarce and double booked. Timing for a successful Lawson environment upgrade and BSI upgrade is critical.
